Canadian Ice Fishing Championship Early Bird Registration Ends Tonight!

ANGLERS HEADS UP! LAST CHANCE EARLY BIRD DRAW ENTRIES!

Anglers registered in the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship  before midnight February 8th will be in the running for 26 Early Bird Draws are you registered? 30 Teams are currently registered to be in the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship Early Bird Draw. Depending on how soon teams entered, they could have up to 26 chances for their numbers to come up. Friday Feb. 8th at midnight is the closing of entries. From now until then, you'll be receiving 2 entries into the 26 draws that take place at the rules meeting, Friday Feb. 22nd at the Sutton Arena.

Big Fish Day Announcement!

Big Fish Day Looks Great!

Canadian Ice Fishing Championship President Rosa Sharpe visited Bonnie Boats, Jackson’s Point today for personal Lake Simcoe ice condition updates. Starting early this morning Rosa scouted various locations for the Deep Water Big Fish Day  travelling along the frozen lake from east to west for over an hour.

‘I wanted to be on the ice myself to set up the zones for Big Fish Day and Perch Day,’ shared Rosa, who is also LuresAndTours CEO adding ‘Boy the cold air felt great!’Bonnie_Boats_Bombardier

Rosa reported the ice was good and is continuing to thicken. There were a good number of huts out on the ice with people happy to be there ice fishing.

Jackson’s Point, renowned for being the Jumbo Perch Capital of North America.will be the launch point for the 19th Ice Fishing Championship. Anglers will be able to enjoy two days of live release hardwater fishing to win thousands in cash and prizes: Day One being Deep Water Big Fish Day and Day Two:  Shallower Fishing Ground Perch.Day.

‘This is the 2nd year LuresAndTours has owned the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship,’ enthused Rosa adding, ‘We are all eagerly looking forward to a return of the Traditional Big Fish Day in 2013.’

Ice Forming – Huts On Lake!

Latest Ice Fishing Report from Lake Simcoe brings great news for the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship! Ice is getting stronger on most of the lake including at Bonnie Boats – Launch Point for the 19th Canadian Ice Fishing Championship.

‘We have eight huts out today, on Six inches of ice.’ Bonnie Boats shared adding,’ Our huts are over are over 60 feet of water,and they are fishing for White Fish and  Lake Trout here.’

Caution is still advised for the main part of Lake Simcoe.
