Lake Simcoe  Ice Fishing House Operators See Positive Ice Progress!

Lake Simcoe Ice Fishing Hut Operators polled today cheerfully reported ice formation progress progress, as they all keep an eye on the weather, Thursday’s Lake Simcoe Ice Report from Aurora: MNR District Office advised Lake Simcoe, as a whole is not safe. Port Bolster, one of the first places to freeze reports 6 – 8 inches, and our Beaverton Source states, providing the cold weather holds he should be on the ice Monday or Tuesday. Our Barrie source looks forward to being on the Ice Thursday or Friday, weather depending. So how is the ice in your area?

St. Catharines Historic Fishing Conservation Club Supports 19 th Canadian Ice Fishing Championship

St. Catharines Game and Fish Association is pleased to support the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship with a prominent banner link. The St. Catharines Game and Fish Association, has a long history of supporting conservation efforts, starting in 1930 as The St. Catharines and Lincoln County Game and Fish Protective Association. Much has changed since the club’s inception, yet our ranks hold a core membership that provides a strong history of initiatives in conservation, environment protection, legislation consultation, teaching and social activities.

The St. Catharines Game and Fish Association, operating as a not-for-profit organization, is now best known for the boat launch in Port Dalhousie, a free fun day Kids Fishing Derby, the Annual Salmon Derby, and the Chinook Salmon Pen Imprinting Project. We also support worthy causes such as the Ringwood Culture Station, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited and numerous one time local events when funds are available.
